The Dark Knight is quite possibly one of the most engaging movies of the summer. The intensity of the screenplay had me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time. However, that is not including the performance of Heath Ledger as the Joker, who had shivers running down my spine the entire time. The Joker's absolute conviction towards the cause of anarchy is so strong that he made me retch. There is no pattern, no sense, and no mercy. However, such a dynamic character of chaos could not be played better by any other than the late Mr Ledger. An Oscar-winning performance at the least, The Dark Knight will go down in history as one of the best movies of the 'Super-hero Summer' of 2008.
