Brisingr - Book 3 of Inheritance

Seriously, like what kind of ending is that?

He spends almost four years on a book that only serves as an intermediary stage between books two and four, leaving it off with a cliffhanger that isn't.

I expected some huge conflict, but mostly the action was mild.
Now I have to wait another four years for a jaw-dropping conclusion, perfect!
Great book, but I think that going for four in a series is drawing it out.

Of course, some may refer back to twilight being a quadrilogy, but that series stayed alive with a constant upkeep of conflicts.

Brisingr was good, but inconclusive.

That being said, I give it 5/5.
